Mars At Opposition 2003

- Four photos of Mars captured on video tape via a JVC camcorder, a Celestron 8" f/10 SC Telescope equipped with a 17mm eyepiece at 117x magnification which was then zoomed in another 12x magnification via the camcorder's zoom control.

- The photos were taken on July 30, 2003, 1:30am, from New York City.

- Visible is Mars' southern polar cap, the Syrtis Major terrain on the left, the Terra Sabaea terrain which crosses the face of Mars in the middle, and the Terra Meridiani terrain on the right.
